The new ACU Air-cooled Trials Championship series will be held over just two rounds with the first on Good Friday, March 25 hosted by the Lancs County MCC at their very popular Brookhouse Brickworks venue near Lancaster, which is very familiar to previous Normandale series riders.
This new series caters for air-cooled bikes in four classes, which are explained below.
CLASS A – Any air-cooled machine. (Example Yamaha TY250 Mono with disc brake)
CLASS B – Any air-cooled machine plus one of criteria points. (Example Yamaha TY250 Mono with drum brakes)
CLASS C – Any air-cooled machine plus two of criteria points (Example Yamaha TY 250 with drum brakes and twin-shocks, Bultaco Sherpa etc)
CLASS D – Any air-cooled machine plus three of criteria points (Example James/BSA/Ariel/Francis Barnett etc with twin-shocks, drum brakes and British engine)
