Due to the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race coming to Scarborough, it has been confirmed they will be using part of the Oliver’s Mount circuit on Sunday 1st May.
This has forced the Auto 66 Club to reschedule their traditional May bank holiday weekend festival of speed. This year the festival of speed was due to be one of the biggest events of the season with big sponsorship and TV coverage.
Due to clash the Auto 66 Club have been forced to split the two day meeting in to two one day events. The car Hill climb, which is a round of the Northern Counties Speed Hill Climb Championship, will now take place on Saturday 30th April, followed by the bike Hill Climb which will take place on Monday 2nd May.
It is hoped that this format will not have to be used again next year as plans are already being made for a festival to take place over the May bank holiday weekend in 2017.
The regulations and entry forms are now available to download on the Auto 66 website which is
