The ACU Motocross Department is pleased to announce the team selection for this year’s European Quad of Nations event on the 10th and 11th October. The 2015 edition of the event will take place at the Schwedt circuit in western Germany.
The team selection features three of the strongest young riders in the country at the moment - George Callaway, Luke Cooper and Bailey Edwards. Indeed, at this Sunday’s fifth British Championship round at Dean Moor, Cooper took overall victory and Callaway rounding out the podium in third.
After Dean Moor George Callaway (RPG Yamaha) now sits third in the British Quad Championship and leads the British Under 21 Championship and has been a front-runner in both classes during all of this season’s championship events so far.
Former Under 21 Champion, Luke Cooper (EDR KTM), currently sits sixth in the British Quad Championship and third in the British Under 21 Championship, after recovering from a dislocated hip at the opening round in February.
Bailey Edwards (Komfort Racing KTM), the current British 250cc Quad Champion, is in his first full British Championship season. After an excellent run of results in the prestigious winter sand races the youngster suffered a broken foot in the early part of the season, but is now close to full fitness again.
This year's GB Team Manager, Rob McDonnell, said:
"Despite a date clash with Weston we have put together a really exciting and talented team of top British Championship riders that, with a bit of luck, has a genuine chance of getting on the podium at Schwedt." "It will also probably be the youngest team we have ever sent, with an average age of just 19 years and four months on the day of the event, but all of them are really fired up to get the best possible result. With these three lads, it’s certainly not going to be dull!"
