Milton Park plays host to MAXXIS British Sidecarcross championship round 3
The third round of this year’s MAXXIS Sidecarcross championship will be held this coming weekend at Milton MX Park in Northants and will be hosted by ACU Events Ltd. This track has been included in the championship fixture list twice in the past but on both occasions it has been cancelled due to flooding. Let’s hope this is third time lucky!

At the time of writing the club had received entries from nearly thirty of the top teams in the country so the racing should be fast and furious throughout the field.

Currently leading the championship are defending champions Stuart Brown / Josh Chamberlain who are unbeaten after two rounds. In second place are Brett Wilkinson / Steve Kirwin twenty four points behind and in third place are Simon Bradford / Luke Peters. Reunited with regular passenger, Dan Chamberlain, is Nick Jarvis who will be keen to close the gap on the top three.

Also within the championship races is the National Experts class which is headed by Tony Grahame / Scott Lloyd twenty eight points ahead of second placed Jon Pannell / Craig Parmenter. This championship excludes last year’s top ten riders plus anyone who has competed in a GP in the last two years. They compete in the same race but have a different scoring system. Also on the race card are the British Vets and the British EVOs.

Practice is due to start at 08.45 with first race due off at 10.30. Riders and campers are reminded that the paddock gate will close at 9pm on Saturday.

The organisers would like to show consideration to others by requesting that traffic to and from the circuit avoid the surrounding villages. So, they have produced directions that will guide you to the track, limiting congestion for local residence. They therefore ask that you follow their directions, rather than using your Sat Nav. These can be found on the website: www.miltonmxpark.co.uk

If you must use your Sat Nav to get directions to the circuit. Please get directions to the Tesco store at Mereway, Northampton, NN4 0JF. Enter this Post Code into your Sat Nav to direct you to Tesco store roundabout. The track will be well sign posted from there.
