It is with great sadness that we report the sad passing away of Colin Appleyard MBE - a giant within the world of motorcycle sport and a former Director of ACU Ltd and ACU Events Ltd.
Colin established his motorcycle racing team over two decades ago, supporting his son Robin who became a dominant force in the 125GP class, winning the British title in the colours of his father's team and graced the World stage on seven occasions in 250cc Grand Prix action.
Colin passed away this afternoon with his wife Peggy, Robin and his sister Judith by his bedside.
Our thoughts are with Colin's family at this sad time.
