Sunday saw the second round of the Eastern Centre Motocross Championship take place at the Blaxhall Circuit near Woodbridge. The track was in great condition with the overnight rain creating ideal condition for racing.
In the Expert class a strong line-up of top local riders along with a few British Championship riders, it was to be Luke Benstead who dominated the three races. Benstead continued his current fine form to take three clear race wins ahead of some tough opposition. Second overall on the day went to Matt Bayliss after taking a fourth place followed by two seconds. Young Mitchell Lewis took a solid third overall ahead of Tom Neal in fourth and Declan Whittle in fifth. Sixth overall went to the unfortunate Dan Arnold who crashed out on the start of the last race.
In the Junior championship class the day was to be dominated by the smooth riding of young Joe Jefferies, taking three race wins on the day. A consistent Andrew Stephenson collected a well-deserved second overall following two seconds and a third, Ethan Winchester claimed the third overall spot. Fourth and fifth overall on the day went to Kane Fisher and Camlann MacDonald, who would have finished higher had it not been for a non-finish in the second race.
In the Junior B group it was Brett Gipp who took control of the class and claim the overall win ahead Paul Hubbard in second overall and third overall went to Roger Frean. Fourth and fifth overall on the day went to Craig Marsden and Dan Preece.
The Junior C group would see Josh Keeble take three wins after missing out on qualifying to Championship class due to a puncture in practice. Second overall went to Ricky Bowden with Karl Puleston in third. Fourth and fifth overall went to Luke Bayford and Anthony Brown.
In the D Group it was Mason Cockerill who took the overall victory ahead of Lee Smith in second and Bradley Parradine in third, fourth and fifth overall went to John Maynard and Matt Humber.
