The 2014 British Masters Grasstrack Champions are Andrew Appleton, Rod Winterburn & Liam Brown.
Appleton’s win makes him a four-time winner having also won in 2006, 2010 and 2011. Winterburn & Brown are now two-time winners having also won at the same venue in Folkestone in 2011. It is a brilliant comeback for Rod Winterburn, who just twelve months ago was considering his future in the sport because of severe injuries, and now Brown has the double having won the Euro 500cc Sidecar title with Josh Goodwin just two weeks ago.
In the Solos David Howe had his best finish in the Championship with a second, and Paul Cooper got third for the second consecutive season. The Sidecars also saw defending and four-time Champion Mark Cossar & passenger Carl Blyth taking second, with Rod Winterburn’s sons Gareth & Billy Winterburn finishing third.
