Following a year on ice, the ACU 250 British Youth championship is to return next season at all NORA-MX meetings. It will run concurrently with the club's championship, which means NORA-MX 250 Open, Modified, Stock and Standard champions will also be crowed the ACU national champion.
A British youth championship did not run in 2013 after a lack of entries in 2012 meant it was deemed unviable. However, the 250 class at NORA-MX meetings was packed, usually with full grids, so it was logical to merge the two.
Last year the NORA-MX Masters championship, for riders over 35 years of age, was given full ACU British championship status and this proved a great success. This will continue in 2014.
At the present time there is no plan to give the 50cc and 100cc youth championships at NORA-MX meetings British championship status.
Dates and venues for the 2014 Nora championship have been confirmed and are on the club's website
www.nora-mx.org.uk as are club membership forms.
