Luscombe Leeds Expands Trials Sponsorship for 2014
Robin Luscombe’s expanding car dealership company goes triple in 2014 sponsoring the ACU Ladies and Girls championship under the Luscombe Suzuki Leeds title. The company with continue their commitments to the ACU Youth Championship series as well as the ACU Sidecar Championship!

This will be the first occasion that the Ladies and Girls championship will have a solid sponsorship for the seven-event series, but the fourth year of support for the Youth and Sidecar.

In total Robin Luscombe will underwrite 31 British Championship Trials events financially and guarantee nationwide an impressive 62 Press releases to regional newspapers to promote the events.

The financial commitment by Luscombe’s Suzuki, Mitsubishi and Saab dealerships is substantial as the package not only covers 31 events, but a total of 17 Championship classes across the board.

This year some 92 youth contenders scored championship points, riding in six age group classes.

The sidecar figures highlighted the interest in the three wheeler class with no fewer than 59 competitors obtaining points across the four classes.

Although the championship with the least number of contestants, the Ladies and Girls series still logged 36 points scorers in the seven classes and it is hoped that this will be built on in 2014.

This year has been a busy one for Robin, as in addition to accumulating his 16th British Sidecar Trials Championship, with son Sam in the chair, he also expanded his business with the acquisition of Mitsubishi and Saab franchises, which are all run from the enlarged premises in Hunslet, Leeds.

As a result he will be able to sponsor the Ladies and Girls Championship under the Luscombe Suzuki Leeds heading.

The Youth Championship will be titled Luscombe Mitsubishi Leeds, while the Sidecar Championship will carry the Luscombe Saab Leeds title.

The event publicity, before and after each event, will be also financed by Robin and controlled by Barry Robinson, as in recent years.

Cooperation by organisers in all three championships is vital to ensure maximum publicity at grass roots level. Good public relations almost guarantee availability of venues and land.

On a personal level multi National Sidecar Champion Robin Luscombe will continue to compete with his son Sam, subject availability of both driver, and passenger.

The Manx Two Day Trial is as ever, the event that Team Luscombe will be pulling out all the stops to be able to attend.
