Seven weeks after the season opener at Mepal Moto Park, round two of the ACU British Quadcross Championship takes place at Asham Woods, Frome during the Spring Bank Holiday Monday. Organised by Frome and District MCC, the extensive race schedule will include the British Sidecar Championship and the Dave Thorpe Evo Series. This popular and picturesque circuit offers fast laps, big hillside sections and a full line-up of quads to ensure plenty of race action!

After a thrilling first round which saw four separate quad classes battle it out over two 25 minute plus two lap races, it was Holmes Racing’s Paul Holmes who leads the way in the championship after an incredible comeback to finish race one from last place due to an off - to first place. Holmes then took the win in race two with Carl Bunce and David Wray both only eight points away after demonstrating their credentials for challenging the championship. Keeping it tight at the top on points, former British Champ Justin Reid had a good first round putting him fourth with Oli Sansom and George Callaway fifth and sixth on joint points.

There was an impressive display from some of the younger riders stepping into the 2012 Championship, most notably was George Callaway who took overall first place in the under21 class with an impressive days racings, Sheldon Seal rode well and is just two points behind with Connor Smith in third.

In the ACU British Masters Lindsey Duke bagged maximum points with Anthony Barrett taking second place but level on points with Clint Eagle. Anthony Canavan took first place and a strong lead in the Clubman Class.

Practice and qualifying start at 9:30am on Monday 4th June 2012 with racing straight after. Admission for spectators is just £5 for a bumper packed day of MX racing. Postcode for the track is BA11 4PW.
