Motorsport Books for the ACU Benevolent Fund

A number of books have been donated to the ACU Benevolent Fund by the family of Lou Ellis, a former Benevolent Fund Chairman. The collection, includes books featuring motorcycle and four-wheeled motorsport and date from the 1950’s and 70’s.

All the books have been valued for sale and a small selection of titles are as follows:

We Went Racing by Charles Mortimer 1966 (signed by Author) Estimated value £20 - £25

BP Book of the Racing Campbells by Richard Hough 1960 Estimated value £20 - £25

Francis Beart – a Single Purpose by Jeff Clew 1978 Estimated value £40 - £50

The Art of Motorcycle Racing by Mike Hailwood/Murray Walker Estimated value £50 - £75

Anyone wishing to make a donation in respect of one of the above books, should contact Trish Arnett on 01788 566407.

We would be grateful if at least the minimum estimated value is donated for each title. A full list of all the donated books is available HERE.

All proceeds from any sale will be donated to the Benevolent Fund.

2024 TT Ben Fund Badge

The 2024 TT Ben Fund badge (pictured) is now available at a cost of £4 plus £1.50 postage and packing and is available from the ACU Office in Rugby. 

Send cheques made payable to “ACU Benevolent Fund” to the following address: ACU House, Wood Street, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV21 2YX or alternatively, you can call the Benevolent Fund Secretary on 01788 566400 if you prefer to pay by credit or debit card.
