Alex Jones appointed as ISDE Team GB Women’s Team Manager

ISDE Team GB is proud to announce the appointment of Alexandria Jones as the new Women’s Team Manager. With a diverse background in leadership, coaching, and enduro, Alex brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role as she looks to empower and inspire female athletes on the international stage.

Alex, from Abergavenny, Wales, spent 12 years in the British Armed Forces, honing leadership, teamwork, and resilience while also coaching men’s rugby teams to develop strategy and discipline. She later joined South Wales Fire and Rescue, where quick decision-making under pressure became second nature. These experiences will be invaluable as she works alongside Head Coach Joe Wootton to support the Women’s Team throughout the demanding six-day competition in Italy this August.

A lifelong enduro enthusiast, Alex is heavily involved in the sport at a grassroots level. With two children who compete in youth enduro, she attends numerous events and has played a vital role in co-organising youth enduro events in Wales—supporting over 200 young riders. Additionally, she worked as a marshal at the 2024 EnduroGP of Wales and has been actively involved with Welsh enduro clubs for many years.

Alex is eager to bring her experiences to Team GB, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where female athletes can thrive. Her goal is to ensure the Women’s Trophy Team has the resources, motivation, and structure needed to achieve success on the world stage.

With Alex’s appointment, ISDE Team GB is confident that the Women’s Trophy Team will be in the best possible hands as they prepare for the 99th International Six Days Enduro in Bergamo, Italy. We look forward to seeing her impact on the team and contribution to the continued growth of women’s enduro in the UK.

Alex Jones: “I’m incredibly honoured to step into this role with ISDE Team GB. I believe in the power of teamwork, preparation, and strong leadership, and I’m excited to help our female riders perform at their very best. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on the team’s recent successes and encourage more women to get involved in this incredible sport.”
