ACU British Youth Grass Track  Championship Relaunch – A Two-Day Extravaganza!

The ACU Track Racing Commission (TRC) is thrilled to unveil further details of the exciting relaunch of the ACU British Youth Grass Track Championship in 2025.

As part of the governing body’s ambitious plans to foster a clear progression pathway for young riders, this restructured championship marks a pivotal moment for the future of British Grass Track racing.

Hosted in association with New Stars Grasstrack Club, this two-day event will take place on Saturday, 9th August, and Sunday, 10th August. Packed with learning opportunities, thrilling races, and the debut of innovative new features, this is an unmissable weekend for youth riders and parents alike.

What’s New?

For the first time, the event will include all youth classes and introduce the inaugural ACU British E-Bike Championship, opening new doors for young riders to showcase their skills in this emerging discipline.

Kirsty Telford the ACU Track Racing Coordinator commented:

“This announcement is a significant step forward for the youth scene in British Grass Track. We’ve worked hard to restructure the championship to create a clear and accessible ladder of progression. This approach will help develop the next generation of British Grass Track stars, who will hopefully go on to represent us in European and World Championship events with the full backing of the ACU.”

The TRC also emphasised the importance of creating an engaging, competitive, and family-friendly environment:

“New Stars Grasstrack Club is the perfect partner to host this championship. Their enthusiasm and experience make them ideal custodians for delivering high-quality events that will benefit riders and their families, and we are looking forward to working alongside Adam Shipp and his committed team.”

Weekend Itinerary

Saturday, 9th August
The weekend kicks off with a structured training camp, led by ex multi–European Grass Track champion James Shanes.

Riders will receive hands-on guidance to enhance their skills, followed by a classroom session in the evening. This session will focus on bike setup, race preparation, and strategic insights to help riders get the most out of their championship experience.

Sunday, 10th August
The spotlight will shine on the ACU British Youth Championship, where the best young talent in the UK will compete for glory. With high-stake races across all youth classes, riders and parents can expect an unforgettable weekend of action.
