The final line up is complete for DL12 Indoor Trial

Returning to the Utilita Arena Sheffield for a third and final time on Saturday 18th January 2025, the line up for this historic edition of the DL12 Indoor Trial is one worthy for the occasion. Headlined by the incredible and now thirty-six times World Champion Toni Bou, the sensational Spanish rider will again have to bring his A game to the northern city if he is to successfully defend his King of Steel title.

The field of challengers is led by his teammate and Vice-World Champion Gabriel Marcelli who is enjoying his best season to date having finished runner up to Bou outdoors and is currently tied for second place in the indoor series too. Marcelli will have to out score Jaime Busto over the closing two indoor events if he wants to match his outdoor ranking. Busto has twice been on the podium at Sheffield over the last two years but has yet to make it on to the top step, which is something that he is sure to look to rectify when he arrives back at the famous Yorkshire venue next January.

Three times the King of Steel since he made his Sheffield debut back in 2002, the legend that is Adam Raga will make one last appearance in the UK, when he returns to South Yorkshire early next year looking to repeat the last victory that he secured in 2023 and sign off an incredible career by winning in style. After twenty-six years of competing at the highest level, his thousands of British fans are sure to give him the send-off that he so richly deserves.

Britian’s 2024 FIM Trial2 World Champion Jack Peace will spearhead the home charge, with this being the second time that the twenty-four-year-old has competed in the prestigious invitation only DL12 Indoor Trial, his prior performance being in 2023. Peace will be supported by Yorkshire’s own rising young star Harry Hemingway, a former FIM Trial3 World Champion and current British Champion, who will be hoping it is a case of third time lucky as he looks to progress to the final this time around as he is again urged on by the capacity home crowd.

The final pairing, who complete what is widely regarded as the strongest ever line up for this season opening event, will make history when they become the first battery powered riders to compete against their combustion counterparts inside the Utilita Arena. Both France’s Gael Chatagno and Norway’s Sondre Haga have proved their potential on board the electric machines with each of them winning a round of the Trial2 World Championship during the 2024 campaign. The inclusion of this highly charged duo is sure to add to what will be yet another amazing edition of this previously highly applauded event.

Please note that Toby Martyn will no longer be taking part in the event following his recent announcement regarding stepping down from top level Trial sport in 2025.
