Day 4 is over and done with at the 2024 ISDE! Steve Holcombe remains in second overall individually, with the gap to Garcia now at one minute. The Junior Trophy team had an excellent day, finishing fifth overall and moving up to fifth in the standings. In the Women’s Trophy, the girls remain in eighth overall after another consistent day.
In the Men’s Trophy category, Steve Holcombe secured another runner-up result on Day 4. Conditions were super unpredictable with heavy rain falling on and off throughout the day, meaning that each test was completely different from the last. A slower start to the day put Steve on the back foot, but he quickly got back into it by lap two, which he opened with a test win. Clawing back precious time, Steve finished 30 seconds behind Garcia to leave the overall gap at 1 minute heading into Day 5. However, it’s not over until it’s over and anything can happen at the ISDE!
Jack Edmondson had another impressive day to move up to 29th in the overall standings after four days. Plenty of strong test results ensured Jack had one of this best days of the week, finishing 20th in the World Trophy category, and 10th in E3. Determined to move up the standings even more, Jack is excited to take on a new set of tests for Day 5.
The Junior Trophy team had their best results of the week, moving the team up in the standings to fifth overall. They will look to make up even more time today to close the gap to Australia. Max Ingham was the fastest British Junior today, achieving his best test result on the final test of the day where he finished 20th scratch.
In the Women’s Trophy category, the girls had better luck on Day 4. Despite starting further back, Nieve had some great test results to claw back plenty of time and finish further up the order, which she will no doubt replicate on Day 5.
One final full day of enduro racing remains, followed by the famous motocross test on Saturday at the paddock in Silleda.
