Daniel Pearson being awarded the Scott Park Memorial Shield by Jim Dalton
Sunday at Mallory Park saw the final round of the ultralightweight series races plus the annual Scott Park Memorial Shield championships with 16 riders battling for honours
Daniel Pearson rode superbly to dominate the day winning the Scott Park Moto4 title plus he was declared the best rider of the day winning the annual Scott Park memorial shield.
The Scott Park Streetstock title was shared by William Greenway and Haydon West who enthralled us all with neck to neck racing in a three way battle with Henry Greenway.
The Scott Park Ladies title was also hotly contested between Erica Lawson and Sharon Penrose. Erica Lawson showed her metal with some bold outbraking at Edwina’s and the hairpin to emerge as the champion on the day.
The season long Ultra lightweight Streetstock Championship was won by David Harley
who cruised home to easily take the points. David adds this title to his EMRA open 125cc championship for 2024, also on his Streetstock bike.
Both the Ultra lightweight Moto4 and Ladies championships went to a deserving Denise Lawson who managed to return to racing after serious Injury earlier in the year. She painfully rode in race 1 to secure both the titles and also get a third place behind, newcomer Arthur Woods in the EMRA championships as well.
Some great races throughout the season and on the day, we look forward to being back next year.
