British Trials Championship sponsored by OSET BIKES at their superb trial’s venue near Mallory Park in Leics. The Club lost their car park due to heavy rain but overcame many setbacks to get all the vehicles into the venue.
Three laps of twelve sections consisting of slippery banks, tree roots and many rocks faced the 60 plus competitors.
Scotland’s Euan Sim Sherco the find of the season, was in good form from the start with laps of 12,7 and zero. Sim fived the hard rock step of section eleven, but then went two and a clean. Other good one dab rides here were by, Harry Cripps, Thomas Le Bretton, Harrison Lighfoot and Rhys Mosey.
Being the final round of the series, overall winners were up for grabs. The 2024 A Class Championship went to Euan Sim on 160 points, with Harry Cripps 156 and Thomas Le Bretton 135.
Thomas Packham Gas Gas won the B Class Championship, and his first ever on 165 points, followed by Archie Bremner Scotland Sherco 135 and Mason Vasy Gas Gas 115. In the trial Max Dance took the win on one, chased hard by Packham 5, Max Golla 7 Mason Vasey 21, Bremner 25, Kai Fisher 36.
Samuel Le Fevre TRS won the C Class Championship with 162 points with Cameron Batty Beta 139 and Mason Tidd TRS 137. On the day superb day of riding by Joshua Tate Beta took the win on just two marks lost, Batty on three with Le Fevre a single five on section six.
Joseph Larkin Beta has had a brilliant year in the Youth D class Medium Wheel, winning on the day with only 5 marks and winning the overall Championship with a maximum of wins and 180 points. Chased hard by some budding riders in finishing order: Ruari Graham, Dexter Rowden, Tommy Wakeford, Reuben Keet, and Clayton Galway. Following Larkin in the Championship places, Tommy Wakeford 132 points and Dexter Rowden 131.
Thomas Tidd Oset had a very good day to finish the D small wheel Trial on 12 marks beating Rocco Watson on 32 to 30 cleans. Normal winner Alisdair Pollock Oset was down in 5th place on 18 but took the D Small Wheel Championship with 165 points, followed by Tidd 145 and Botham 131.
