Do you have fantastic memories from the 90s GP days! The excitement of two-stroke bikes roaring around tracks like Foxhill, the atmosphere created by the crowd, and the thrilling races truly made those moments special. VMXdN Foxhill brings that experience back to life and creates even more memories from a sport we all love. One of those standout memories in 2023 was created by Rob Holyoake.
If you didn’t know the name Rob Holyoake before VMXdN Foxhill 2023, you definitely did afterwards! The former 125cc Red Bull Pro National Champion and EMX competitor showcased his incredible talent on the track last year, racing on a Team Stormworks Garage machine. Despite a hiccup during qualifying that saw him start behind the other 40 riders, he fought hard, and it was a race that will go down in history.
If you haven’t seen the go-pro footage on YouTube, go and watch it now! The Gloucestershire lad left the line after the other 40 riders and progressed through the race to second place; we are talking clashing bars, non-existent lines and the kind of racing that leaves you wanting more. Not only does he pass 41 riders, he also sets the quickest lap time by over two seconds.
Rob Holyoake returns for VMXdN Foxhill 2024 and will compete in the Pro Circuit Super Evo 125, an over-25 race, and we can't wait!
