The ACU Trials and Enduro Commission wish to extend their gratitude to the Xmoor Enduro Club and their team of dedicated helpers for stepping up to the mark and putting on Round 5 and 6 of the 2024 ACU BEC to fill a gap in the championship calendar.
The event was originally to be held in Wales but due to land issues looked like it would have to be cancelled. However, thanks to the Xmoor Club, in negotiations with Neil Hawker it ran in the beautiful village of Huntsham down in Devon on 27th and 28th July with the Club agreeing to do so with only 2 months’ notice.
The Xmoor team worked extremely hard to produce a flowing circuit with three high quality tests giving great variety for the riders. As anyone who organises Enduro event knows, the commitment required is massive and is carried out largely by unpaid volunteers who in the case of this event, in the days leading up to it, in total logged about 600 hours before the event weekend. Add to this, all of the marshalling and administration, 22 miles of course had to be cleared including 30km of track tape to roll up.
All in all, a marvellous job was done by this club and supporters who helped to ensure that the full 2024 BEC calendar ran as planned.
