The VMXdN Foxhill, held over the August bank holiday weekend (22nd_25th), continues to draw the top talent from across the world in the international race and nationally for the Wright Engineering class. One name that stands tall in the current British motocross scene is the Wainwright Family, and this year, they are set up with their own team as they line up in the Wright Engineering Team Race.
After witnessing several family members compete for different teams in last year's Wright Engineering Team Race, the Wainwrights have decided to keep it a family affair this time around.
Howard Wainwright, a former MXY2 British champion in 2017, is leading the charge for Team Wainwright. With an impressive track record, Howard is currently leading the Honda Cup at the fastest 40. His skill and determination make him a force to be reckoned with, and all eyes will be on him as he aims for victory.
Next up in the Wainwright clan is the podium-hungry Sean Wainwright. Having secured a second-place finish in the amateur class at the MX Nationals in 2023 and an overall victory in 2021. His remarkable 17th place finish in the Weston Beach race in 2023 showcased his immense talent and determination.
Completing the formidable Team Wainwright lineup is Jamie Wainwright. With previous VMXdN appearances both individually in 2022 and as part of Team Design in 2023, Jamie is well-versed in the VMXdN Foxhill experience. In 2023, he geared up for his first season as a pro rider with an impressive third-place finish in the MX Nationals and a respectable fifth-place finish in the Revo British MX Championship.
Team Wainwright brings an abundance of experience and a competitive spirit that is sure to put the cat amongst the pigeons. With the Wainwright name on the line, they will undoubtedly aim for nothing short of a podium spot.
