Team MercIa is ‘Bank’ing on it

Are you ready for the most exciting event on the UK motocross calendar? The anticipation for VMXdN Foxhil, driven by The John Banks Group, is revving up, and with riders from around the world still being announced, it's set to be one hell of an MX event when the gate drops at the famous Wiltshire GP circuit on August Bank Holiday weekend (22-25).

Drawing teams from around the world, the International VMXdN Team Race is the highlight of the packed racing schedule with riders vying for the prestigious honour of lifting the famous trophy. Among the contenders, one team, a little closer to home is Team Mercia/Store 114.

First up on the team is Elliot Banks-Browne, aka EBB, and he is no stranger to being first, having won Moto 2 at VMXdN 2023. Banks-Browne is a two-time MX2 British champion, a RedBull pro national champion and a schoolboy 250 national champion. Add to that; he is also a former Grand Prix rider. If you have been around the sport for some years, you may question that he was born 20 years too late! EBB rides the open-class Honda smoothly with no effort, unlike his uncle Mark, who was a bit more aggressive. Elliot's pedigree cannot be questioned, as he is from the Banks Racing dynasty. His Mum, Melanie Banks, is a sister to Mark and Justin, and his grandfather is Grand Prix legend John Banks. EBB is a serious racer and is more than ready to get in the mix when the gate drops. The only question left is whether it will be riding a 250 or 500cc machine.

Joining EBB is Jordan Booker, the prominent schoolboy talent, cut his teeth racing in the UK alongside America's most prestigious amateur events. Once in the pro ranks riding for HM Plant KTM, he showed his potential further. Nowadays, Jordan has found his niche with a big following on social media and riding anything with 2 wheels in the coolest locations.

Steve Bixby completes the trio. Over his many years of racing, Bixby has earned his fair share of podiums and is a regular face at the Apico two-stroke festival.

Prepare yourself for the ultimate motocross event at VMXdN Foxhill! This four-day MX festival has quickly become a must-attend event on the British and global motocross calendar. It's a celebration of the iconic golden era of two strokes and Grand Prix racing from the 90s and 00s. Trust us, you don't want to miss it!

While the racing in every class is top-notch over Saturday and Sunday, the fun starts when the gates open at 12 noon on Thursday, August 22nd. The Range ‘Show’N’Shine’ powered by Motoverde bike show steals the spotlight on Friday, showcasing the finest restoration and two-wheeled machines. But VMXdN is not just about the thrilling races. The social aspect of the event is equally unmissable. In 2023, the event was massively popular, with online ticket sales surpassing the previous year. This year, it is anticipated that tickets will sell out even before the gates open at 12 noon on Thursday, August 22nd.
