British AVT Campers KTM racer Lucy Barker made it two EMX Women Motocross Championship titles in a row with another faultless performance at the penultimate round in Lithuania at the Aleksandrija Motocross Track in Siuliaiat at the weekend.
Lucy, who is now also racing in the World Championship, which runs alongside MXGP, secured a dominant victory, finishing 14 seconds ahead of her closest competitor. Winning four out of the five rounds with one more to go in Germany, she has racked up a phenomenal 77-point lead over her closest rival, which means she has clinched the title a round early.
Speaking after the event Lucy said “I’m over the moon to secure my second European title in a row, and a round early
“After a tough few weeks for me, I finally turned it round and put it all together for a perfect weekend here in Lithuania, going 1-1-1. I’ve worked so hard for this and will keep working to achieve my next goals!
“I’d like to say the biggest thank you to my parents for making this possible, also a huge thank you to my coach Brian Jorgensen for his amazing support!
“Next stop Germany for the final round”
