The stars of Formula Grasstrack make their way to the long-standing and popular venue at Hampton Hall near Malpas, Cheshire, this Saturday for round 5 of the 2024 H&N Supplies Ltd Championship. The meeting will also remember former FGA and Bantam rider Jonathon Rodgers, as the finalists will race for the Jonathon Rodgers memorial shield in his memory.
Lilly Bence hopes to continue her dominance of the E-Bikes and joins Kobo Gutteridge, 2024 newcomers JJ Falconer, and Noah Bakewell.
Dakota Wright returns to the Auto cadet class to take on his younger brother Dalton. The Wright brothers will be against cadets Charlie Dowd and Darcy Powell.
Archie Whitelam will aim to add another cub class victory to his 2024 list but will face stiff opposition from Oxford’s Chloe Davis. Kaylem Bourne and Aj Bence continue their debut seasons in the class, while Lucas Astley returns after missing the last two rounds.
Unfortunately, no Junior riders were entered after Charlotte Arthur had to withdraw on Wednesday. The class is struggling for riders in 2024, and the association hopes this trend will change soon.
Senior championship leader Graham Thomas heads another strong lineup in the Premier FGA class. Thomas will find his closest challenge from multi-champ Wayne Broadhurst, who will be hoping to take home the Jonathon Rodgers shield again. Colin How showed top form at Helsby last time out and will be hoping for more of the same. Mr Consistent Adam Hawker has been in the mix in 2024 and will be aiming for a top 3 finish. Phil Thomas continues his return to racing, while Rowson brothers Ant and Andy are also there to take a vital top 8 spot. With 24 Seniors entered, there will be battles to be had down the order, too.
The meeting promises close racing throughout the practice commences at 12pm with 1st race due to get underway at 1pm
