Woodbridge DMCC is thrilled to announce the return of the Foxwood Trade Holeshot Award for the Dirt Store ACU British Motocross Championship at Blaxhall on Sunday, June 23rd. Thanks to the continued support of local company Foxwood Trade, this popular award is back to boost the excitement of the races.
Foxwood Trade, a branch of Foxwood Ceramics based in Kesgrave near Ipswich, has been a steadfast supporter of the Woodbridge Club since 2015. This family-owned business, established in 2018, offers a diverse range of wall and floor tiles at trade prices. Foxwood Trade is owned by former motocross rider Matt Cottrell, a long-time supporter of the club, and father of James Cottrell, a former European and current British Championship rider competing in the MX1 class.
The Holeshot Award, a highlight of the event, adds extra excitement to the most thrilling part of the race—the start. The best motocross riders from the UK and Europe will compete in both the MX1 and MX2 classes, with the added incentive of a £100 cash prize per race for securing the Holeshot. Additionally, if a rider in either class secures both Holeshot Awards, they will receive an extra £100, making it a total of £300 for a double Holeshot.
Richard Blyth, speaking on behalf of the Woodbridge DMCC, expressed gratitude for Foxwood Trade’s ongoing support: “We are extremely grateful to have Foxwood Trade back supporting the club and event. Their involvement since our first British event in 2015 has been invaluable. The Holeshot Award has been a great success for both the riders and the spectators, and we hope it will once again heighten the excitement for the crowd when the gate drops on June 23rd at Blaxhall.”
