Round three of the 2024 FPR Championship saw us head to West Wales and the circuit of Pembrey.

Although the initial forecast was good, it seemed that a change was on the cards with rain now forecast for most of Sunday!

Thankfully we were very lucky and apart from an early shower, the rain soon cleared away and we were lucky enough to be blessed with good weather for the rest of the day!

Unfortunately, the entries across all classes were low, which seems to follow a pattern of recent years at the venue, which is very sad, as the circuit is very good and has excellent grip in all weather conditions! The racing was as good as ever and as usual the FPR Bandit series proved to be as exciting as ever, with close fought battles throughout the field, from front to back!

Race one saw Neil Attenborough take another victory, extending his Championship lead, second went to the much improved Mark Wardle. another strong ride, finishing in third place was Adrian O’Connor, followed home by Craig Harris, rookie Grant Davies, newcomer Keiran Barker and first timer Pete Bratchell.

Bandit Seniors was won by rookie Richard Davis, from Keith Chambers, Tim Hawkins, Shane Watson and Kevin Gale.

FP1 was, once again won by Andy Green

FP2 was won convincingly by Championship leader, Lee Marks on his Ducati 749, from Andrew Howe, who has just rejoined the class on an Aprillia.

FP3 saw Championship Shaun Hennessy leader extending his advantage, with local rider Gareth Sutton finishing in runner up spot.

FPR Evo saw the current FP2 Champion and Evo Championship leader, Nick Williamson extend his advantage with yet another victory, from Ian Agnew and Stuart Goodson, David Morgan, Dan Kift and Lawrence Goodridge.

GP1: was won by Phillip Smallman, with another local rider taking runner up spot in the shape of Ian Henshaw..

Race two

FPR Evo: This time  Agnew taking overall victory, with Williamson taking an unfamiliar second place and Goodson with another strong third place.GP1: Henshaw had a far better race, taking the win from Smallman.

Race Three

Bandit series: it felt like deja vous…  Attenborough from Wardle and O’Connor.Bandit seniors: Davies took another win, with Hawkins second and Watson third.

FP2: Another win for Howe as Marks continued to have machine issues.FP3: Hennessy took another strong victory from Sutton.

FPR Evo: Agnew took another strong victory over Williamson and Goodson.GP1: This time it was Smallman taking the win over Henshaw.

Yet again, another fantastic meeting, with some fantastic racing throughout the FPR classes.
