Formula Prostocks Racing Club Cadwell Park Race Report

Round two of the 2024 season took place at Cadwell Park and once again we were very lucky to be blessed with good weather!

The racing was as good as ever and as usual the FPR Bandit series proved to be as exciting as ever, with close fought battles throughout the field, from front to back!

Race one saw Neil Attenborough take the victory, but only by 4 hundredths of a second from Dan Tuplin. David Greenwood had another strong ride, finishing in third place, from Shannon Bishop and Mark Wardle (who took the fastest lap, with a 1:45.052).

Bandit Seniors was won by Keith Chambers with current Champion, Tim Hawkins in second and rookie Richard Davies in third.

FP1 was, once again won by Andy Green

FP2 was won convincingly by Championship leader, Lee Marks, from John Foster.

FP3 had a good entry, and it was Shaun Hennessy who took top honours, class newcomer Hayden Smith was second and Keith Clarke finished in third.

FPR Evo saw the current FP2 Champion and Evo Championship leader, Nick Williamson extend his advantage with another (but slim) victory, from Ian Agnew and Stuart Goodson.

GP1: With only Phillip Smallman entering the class, it was no surprise that he took maximum points, to extend his Championship lead.

Race two

Bandit series:  The racing intensified, and the lap times were coming down. Attenborough took another win, this time from Greenwood and Tuplin in Third.

Bandit Seniors: Chambers had another victory, from Davies and Shane Watson in third place.

FP2: Marks took another first place podium, again from Foster.

FP3: Hennessy continued to dominate, this time with Clarke in second and smith in third.

FPR Evo: Another win for Williamson, but Agnew getting ever closer, only 0.1 seconds adrift, with Goodson taking another solid third place.

GP1: No finishers.

Race Three

Bandit series: Tuplin took his first victory of the season, with a fine win, over Attenborough and Greenwood.

Bandit seniors: Davies took his first win, with Chambers second and Watson third.

FP2: Another repeat performance of Marks from Foster.

FP3: Hennessy took another and this time convincing victory, from Smith and then Clarke.

FPR Evo: Another tight fought battle, with Williamson making it a clean sweep, once again ahead of Agnew and Goodson.

GP1: Smallman again taking the full 25 points, to add to his tally!

Yet again, another fantastic meeting, with some remarkable racing throughout the FPR classes.

We now look forward to heading into West Wales, for round three at Pembrey.
