ACU Oset Bikes Youth Round 3 and 4

Monday May 20, 2024 at 4:59pm

Scarborough & District Motor Club ran rounds 3 and 4 of the ACU Oset Bikes Youth Trials Championship at the weekend at their very popular Harwood Dale venue in the scenic East Yorkshire area. As always, the Club ran a superb two-day Youth National Trial using the rocky streams and steep banks of this amazing venue. A forward-thinking committee on behalf of the Scarborough Club purchased this former WW2 former army camp just after the war.

Euan Sim (Sherco) from the Lochaber Club continued his amazing run of wins in the senior A class, winning both days on 25 and 22 marks. Harry Cripps (Beta) continued his run of runner up berths on 72 and 90 marks.

Mason Vasey (Gas Gas) Scarborough Club won the B class on day one with a very good ride on just 14 marks. Archie Bremner Inverness Club took day two on 22 marks. Thomas Packham Hookwood was very consistent with two runner ups.

There was a very good entry of over 70 riders with nearly 50 riders contesting the B and C classes. The C class title is being hotly contested.

by four very talented riders: Cameron Batty, Samuel Le Fevre, Joshua Tate and Mason Tidd.  Batty took day one on 26 marks and Le Fevre day two on 12marks. Although Samuel LeFevre has had a DNF at round one, with the new rule for 2024 that riders can drop a round, LeFevre still has a chance if riding well, that he could win this class.

Joseph Larkin Guisborough Club (Beta) won both days of the D class medium wheel loosing just 11 and 34 marks. Vaughn Harland Scarborough had a pair of runner ups.  The D class small wheel is strongly contested by two talented riders: Thomas Tidd and Alisdair Pollock. Tidd won day one on 22 marks and Pollock day two on 34 marks.

Congratulations to Scarborough Club for very putting on a very good ACU Oset sponsored Youth Championship 2 day Trial.
