Long Distance trials have been going since 1904 when The Motor Cycle Club first ran the Edinburgh Trial, 400 miles from London to Edinburgh with less than half the competitors finishing. 120 years later and the Edinburgh Trial is still held every September based in Derbyshire and alongside the MCC’s other events of the Exeter Trial (early January) and Lands End Trial (Easter) form the trio of “classic” long distance trials.
However, there’s a host of other long distance trials you can have a go at, great fun and suitable for all using green lanes set in tremendous scenery throughout the country. Check out the list below of some of the events available.
