Norwich Viking’s host the final round of the 2023 ACU Eastern MX Championship sponsored by Stebbings Car Superstore & PP Sports Insurance at their iconic Cadders Hill, Lyng circuit on Sunday 8th October.
Defending champion Luke Parker holds a slender 15 point lead over 2018 Champion Shaun Southgate but has been hampered by an injury in the last 2 rounds. Parker will be hoping that he can overcome the odds and score enough points to retain his title. Southgate has been riding exceptionally well in recent weeks and will be determined to claim both race and championship wins. British Championship rider, Sam Nunn, will also be bidding for the overall win to secure third place in the title chase but cannot catch Southgate or Parker. Max Broadbelt who has been in very good form in recent weeks and Ben Cole will also be in the mix for a good points haul.
In the Junior class, Charlie Nudds has a 37 point lead over Connor Bunkle with Shane Lock a further 22 points adrift. Race wins in this class have been spread amongst several of the top 10 championship contenders in the last three rounds so Joe Hall, Tim Warnes, Finley Jarvis or Jake Brown could be grabbing a hatful of points at Lyng.
There will be an all action 15 race programme starting at 09:00am with practice & timed qualification, followed by the first championship race at approximately 11:00am. Admission is £10 adults, children under 15 free. Cash or card payments.
