Sunday the 26th of April saw the 1st round of the ACU British 50cc, 85cc and 125 Streetstock Championships in tricky conditions at a bitterly cold and windy Darley Moor race circuit
With a great turnout of riders the ACU Championship classes had one of biggest grids of the day for the first event of the Darley Moor Racing Clubs 2023 season.
Morgan Fulop and Max Taylor fought two thrilling 125 Street Stock races with a side by side battle throughout both the races in what was a fantastic display of skillful and safe riding.
Morgan Fulop took the honours in the 1st race by a hairs breadth 0.01 of a second and again in the 2nd race by another unbelievably close 0.05s.
Rhys Callister from the Isle of Man rode well on his 50cc Metrakit to dominate the class on a big wheel Metrakit prepared by Barry John to take two victories and David Mc Glone equally dominated 85cc class with a win.
2023 is already shaping up to be an exciting prospect for the ACU small bike championships The next round is at Mallory Park race circuit this coming weekend the 2nd April organized by EMRA racing club.
