Top Fuel Bike.

The final round of the 2022 European FIM Championships of Top Fuel Bike is between Rene Van Den Berg who has a six point lead over Rikard Gustafsson.  Berg won the opening round here at Santa Pod. Gustafsson won in Germany so it is all to play for in the final round of the championship.  Neil Midgley is the owner/rider of the world’s second quickest fuel bike and could affect the outcome of the championship. Another fuel bike rider is Al Smith who has run 6.0secs and could be in with a shout of winning the event. Stuart Crane is the quickest Funny Bike rider 6.325 in Europe and there is still more performance to come. Mark Smith had his best ever result here, when he finished runner up at the Main Event meeting.

Eric Richard debut a new bike mid-season and is tuning the bike with a best so far of 6.88.

Super Twin Bike.

Marcus Christiansen only has to qualify to win the title.  Martijn De Haas won the Main Event but did not qualify in Sweden due to engine damage and lost points from that meeting. Chris Van Nimmen has been learning his fuel bike this year. Making his debut at the Main Event he has run low seven-second.

Pro Stock Bike

This class is open with all four riders entered in with a chance of winning the title. Martin Newbury borrowed a bike from Richard Gipp for the third round in Germany after he broke a crankshaft on his bike in Sweden.  Aswin Le Noble lies second in the points on his debut season.  Bertrand Maurice has had a lot of problems this season and will be hoping to finish on a high note. Martin Bishop has only competed at one event, which he won here at the Main Event.

Super Street Bike.

Daniel Lencses has had a sensational season when he has competed here at Santa Pod. Become the first rider in the 6.7s 6.6s and 6.5secs at over 225mph and setting ET and Speed records in both ACU and FIM Championships. Mathias Bohlin missed the opening round here but has reached finals at Sweden and Germany and is twenty points behind Lencses.  Jake Mechaell has had a great season so far and is a star of the future. Mogens Lund has a outside chance of winning the title if the other three have problems.

Steve Venables could stir things up, also Alan Morrison Jr and Garry Bowe all have run into the six-second zone.  Will be an interesting final round of the 2022 championship.
