BRITISH TIMECARD ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP / BRITISH S/C ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP / BRITISH EXTREME ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP / ACU CLASSIC ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP /BRITISH BIKE RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP
In order to confirm the 2023 National and Championship Enduro dates as soon as possible and to improve the standard of the Championships, the Trials and Enduro Committee would like potential Organisers to complete the application form
(Appendix A)
PLEASE NOTE -: We are inviting applications from ALL known Enduro Organisers/Promoters including those who are not currently members, but who may be thinking of affiliating to the ACU in order to run with us. Invitations for 2023 dates are being sent out early, specifically to enable the Committee to observe at an event which such organisers may wish to put forward as a British Championship and assess its suitability. Clerk of the Course training would be arranged, as necessary. Please read the following to understand why we need the information on the application form Dates - we require your preferred date and any optional dates. If you have no optional dates, please tell us but do not be disappointed if we cannot give you a round of a Championship you asked for. Likewise, if you cannot give us any options, please do not tell us after we announce the Championships that we could have run on a different date etc.
Please note that once Championship dates have been confirmed they cannot be moved. We appreciate that the unexpected can happen, but people have planned ahead for the announced dates and our policy is to maintain these dates wherever possible. If you must withdraw from a Championship date, we do try to offer the date to other organisers to maintain the announced Championship dates
Details of Championship Event - Each year we endeavour to raise the standard of events and Championships however with new applications and old events having changes of management, we would like some idea of what you are planning e.g., start venue, type of course, facilities available, etc.
NB. There is a requirement for all organisers to use the ACU online entry system and to provide an entry size of at least 150. Our policy is to avoid World and European Championship rounds clashing with the British Enduro Championships in order for the best British riders to be able to compete abroad and also in our British Championships.
Points of Contacts – We are finding more often that we are not getting rule changes and essential information to the people running the events and therefore we are asking for two points of contact. Ideally this is the Secretary and the Clerk of the Course. However, we realise that sometimes Clerk of the Courses are imported/borrowed as they have a National licence and the Secretary is enlisted as they are a competitor’s wife/mother/husband hence we need to contact the driving forces behind the event.
