The fiercely fought Red Bull Pro Stroke National returns as part of the unique Apico 2-Stroke Festival at the Sellindge track in Kent over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of August 2022.
The one-day championship will be held on the Sunday and a prize fund of £6,000 has been committed to the Red Bull Pro Stroke National Pro/ Expert MX1/ MX2 classes.
The stand-alone event has already attracted a strong entry of riders for all ACU-backed British Championship and national groups, and Pro riders, such as Sam Sunderland, Tommy Searle and Dylan Walsh are gearing up for a slice of the action and prize money.
Red Bull’s support of action sports needs little introduction, it backs a huge range of events and athletes around the world and is keen to support ground-breaking events like the Apico 2-Stroke Festival, which it views as a clear pathway for talent to shine.
Festival organiser Dave Willet said: “We were blown away last year when Red Bull came on board. It’s a merger that is absolutely brilliant for motorsport in the UK and I’m so happy to welcome the brand and its activities back to the Apico 2-Stroke Festival this year. The fact Red Bull is back for the foreseeable future is incredible.
“We want the fun of the Festival to be available for everybody – whatever they ride. Off-road is one big family, and we want everyone to enjoy the fun of this great event with two-strokes and four-strokes sharing the same weekend.
“It’s testament to the people in charge at Apico, Dylan Brown and his wife Anna, that they have not only been fully behind the Festival since its inception but now have embraced the event merger with Red Bull as a hugely positive leap forward for the sport in the UK. I can’t thank them enough.”
