Great Britain’s Dan Bewley made it back-to-back Grand Prix wins with victory on his home Polish track of Wroclaw on Saturday.
Bewley, the winner in Cardiff a fortnight ago, moved up to third in the overall standings with his latest success, and he was joined on the podium by Robert Lambert, who finished a career-best third.
It was the first time in 22 years that two GB riders had been on the podium at the same event, dating back to the 2000 British GP at Coventry when Martin Dugard won with Mark Loram third.
Said Bewley: “After Cardiff, people said to me I should enjoy it, and I did enjoy it and take it in. But I wasn’t going to celebrate for the rest of the season after that. I wanted to keep pushing and keep working.
“I have some important meetings coming up and some big GPs left. It has been pretty good to keep pushing and get back on the podium again.”
