Three race victories on a brace of John Davies sponsored machines have put Dominic Herbertson on the top podium position in the Duke Road Race Rankings Championship 2022 after the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races held on the Colas Billown Course in the Isle of Man.
The Hexham rider opened his account riding the 500cc Yamaha TX he took the chequered flag in convincing fashion in the A D Hewett Dental Practice 1100cc Race by 2.96 seconds from Alan Oversby with Jamie Coward filling third spot.
Astride the Davies 350cc Honda K4 he finished 4.63 seconds ahead of Rob Hodson and Jamie Coward in the Vintage MCC - IOM 350cc Junior Race and followed that with a dominating ride in the Greystone LLC 500cc Senior Race on the Yamaha taking a 10.59 second victory once again over Alan Oversby and Jamie Coward. In both the 350cc and 500cc races he also broke the existing laps records.
Alastair Seeley and Michael Sweeney drop one spot to second and third, whilst Northern Ireland rider Barry Davidson climbs to fourth from eighth after taking a second, fourth, fifth and eighth placings, with Jamie Coward improving from 14
to seventh and Mike Hose making a new entry in eighth spot.
