The Woodbridge and DMCC are busy preparing for an exciting and action-packed year ahead at their Blaxhall venue in 2022. Over the winter months the club have been busy working at the Blaxhall Circuit and have reversed the track direction ready for the new season. This will be the first time the track has run in this direction since 2010.
During the 2022 season the Woodbridge club will be hosting five Motocross events including a practice event and four race meetings including a round of the prestigious Revo ACU British Motocross Championship on the 19
th June. The 2022 season will be starting with a Practice Day on Saturday 26
th March.
The first race meeting of the season will take place on Sunday 24
th April as the club will be hosting an Open meeting which will feature both Experts and Juniors in an action pack day of racing.
Sunday 19
th June will once again see the return Revo ACU British Motocross Championship Fuelled By Gulf Race Fuels to the Blaxhall Circuit. Having been awarded the ACU British Championship Organiser of the year once again for 2021 making it five events in a row the Woodbridge and DMCC will be looking to host another top-class event for round six of the championship. In 2022 the Revo ACU British Championship will feature the MX1, MX2, MXY2 (125cc & 250cc) and Big Wheel 85cc classes.
With Grand Prix riders from across the World competing against Britain's best World and European talent, along with some of the best home-grown riders in the four championship classes of highly competitive racing it will be a great day out for the whole family. Local front runners will include Jake Nicholls (Ipswich) Elliott Banks-Browne (Bury St Edmunds) who will both compete in front of their home crowd alongside other local stars like Tom Grimshaw, Sam Nunn, Bayliss Utting and Callum Murfitt.
Following the British Championship event, the Woodbridge club will be hosting two rounds of the ACU Eastern Motocross Championship for both Expert and Junior classes on Sunday 24
th July for round four. The ACU Eastern Motocross Championship events often features a number of National riders along with the top local Experts such as Jake Nicholls, Lewis Tombs, Shaun Southgate, Luke Benstead, Luke Parker and Declan Whittle who will all be challenging for race wins. Alongside the Experts will be packed line-ups of the top local up and coming Junior riders making for some great racing.
Sunday 21
st August will see the ACU Eastern Motocross Championship return to Blaxhall for the fifth round of the Championship. With the Championship coming to the final stages of the season the racing will be close in both the Expert and Junior Championships as the leading riders look to secure vital Championship points.
