Following the introduction of the ACU GT140 British Championship, the Track Racing Committee have working on amending the Technical rules for 2022, while trying to maintain the sensible costs and be in keeping with what the class is about.

GT140 rules
Standing regulations must comply for Track Racing machines with current technical regulations for the GT 140 class.
a) Frame can be a Grass Track twin shock or mono-shock incorporating a swinging arm with suspension, Speedway rear subframe IS NOT permitted.
b) Forks can be any type e.g., leading link or telescopic.
c) Wheels: Front – 21/23 inch, Rear – 22 inch as per current regulations
d) Engine: 140cc with a bore of 56 and stroke of 57 with a maximum of 2 valves, these must be 140cc factory manufactured engines only (no KLX type engines to be used)
e) TB heads allowed - Takagawa or any other none standard head
NOT allowed.
f) Titanium engine internal parts
NOT allowed.
g) Ignitions: Should be of a generator type as manufactured.
h) Fuel: Petrol only, methanol IS NOT permitted.
i) Carburettor inlet must not exceed a maximum diameter of 26mm for a minimum of 2mm either side of the slide. Carburettor must be upright.
j) Number plates (refer to 4.21) must be displayed on the front and either side at the rear of the machine.
k) Brakes ARE NOT permitted as per Grass Track regulations 4.2.
l) The rear silencer must be fitted with a retaining wire to ensure it does not become detached from the motorcycle during racing.
m) Mudguards: Regular Grass Track mudguards or huggers kits are permitted.
n) ‘Ignition Cut Out’ system must be fitted to disable the engine via a lanyard attached to the rider.
o) Chain: The rear chain must be covered on any area where the chain meets the front and rear sprocket.
