It's with sadness to report the sudden death of one of Wales' most enthusiastic Trials riders, David Carter of Brawdy, Pembrokeshire passed away last week while out practicing, aged just 44.
David travelled thousands of miles to trials being from the far west of Wales, nowhere was close, for many years he contested the Welsh Trials championship winning several class championship and in later years riding the Kia / Rockshock Twin Shock Championship which he won in 2015 and he was currently lying in second place of the Experts class this year.
David also competed at the Scottish Six Days, Manx 2 Day trial, and the
Scot Trial which he also finished within time, he won the Dawn to Dusk Enduro
Solo Marathon Class in 2008 completing more laps than some of the works two man
teams.
He leaves a wife Helen and son Charlie, and our deepest sympathy to them and the rest of his family and friends.
The funeral will take place on Monday 16th August at 1pm at St Davids Church, Brawdy, SA62 6LA, A procession of trials bikes is planned to follow the cortege to the church, and you are welcome to join this. Refreshment will be available following the service at the Grain Store opposite the church.
