Ace Pijper was the highest-placed British rider in the European 250cc Final at Torun on Saturday.
Pijper scored eight points, including a win in his final outing, and was classified seventh overall, whilst Luke Harrison was one point behind, also with a race win to his name.
Max James scored one point, with the meeting won by Polish youngster Oskar Paluch on a 15-point maximum.
GB Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “This was an eye-opener for us, but we always knew it was going to be tough – this is a European Final, so there are no easy races.
“The boys have taken plenty of experience from today and we now move on to the World Championship semi-finals which take place in Cloppenburg, Germany next Friday.”
