ACU TRIAL 125 CLASS - A PATTERN EMERGING

Returning his wristband with twenty-two cleans and no failures recorded Harry Hemingway (Beta) continued his domination of the Trial 125 class in the fourth round of the series held high above Kendal on Sunday. With lap scores of nine, seven and six, one of Britain's brightest hopes for the future won the class by a massive thirty-two marks.

As in the three previous rounds, Harry Turner (Scorpa) finished second, whilst although George Hemingway (Beta) slotted into third, the youngest rider in the class is edging closer to a higher step on the podium.

Turner kept in touch on the first of three laps, but it was the ninth and tenth sections, high up on the Cumbrian Fell where Hemingway gained his advantage. Recording single cleans on the slippery smooth rocks of both sections with masterly throttle control was the spot where Hemmo broke the opposition.

Harry Bowyer (GasGas) came close to a podium position in fourth, just four marks adrift of third which was aided by avoiding too many maximum penalties over the thirty-six demanding sections. Jamie Galloway (TRRS) kept his score under the one hundred to finish fifth, with Owen Chestnut (Scorpa) recovering well from a poor first lap in sixth. With Dougie Lampkin on duty at the Goodwood Festival, Alfie Lampkin (Vertigo) was looked after by Paul Dixon for a seventh-place finish with Jay Pyper (Beta) getting the better of Joe Snelling (Beta) on a tie break by the closest of margins. Charlie Cripps (Beta) rounded off the top ten at the end of a tough day.
