Lyng will host the second round of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship Fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels and the first round of the PP Sports Women's ACU British Motocross Championship this Sunday (23rd May). Lyng is an intertwining circuit with enduring stretches of track. This venue will test the riders speed and endurance as the riders compete this weekend.
The last time that the Women rode Cadders Hill, Lyng circuit was back in 2019 when the Norwich Vikings Motorcycle Club brought the ladies class to the Championship. In this round, Kathryn Booth took home first place, with Amie Goodlad tied on points and taking the runners up position.
Cadders Hill will see five classes compete on Sunday. The youngest of them being the Big Wheel 85cc class, the class will see the likes of round one first-place winner Finley Evans, Ben Mustoe and Tyla Hooley battle it out. With only 5 points separating the three riders its wide open coming into this round. The likes of Shaun Mahoney, Gyan Doesen and Billy Askew are also contestants to look out for.
In the 125cc class, we see the highly praised Ollie Colmer standing seven points ahead of James Barker and a further two points ahead of third-place Joe Brookes. Despite the weather forecast for this Sunday, we are sure that the 125 class will put up a great race for spectators.
The 250cc class will see Culham winner Alfie Jones fight to keep his 12-point difference from Jack Lindsay. Although Jack won his first two races, he dropped down in the third and fourth leaving Alfie to take home first place ultimately leading to second place position and Alfie’s 12-point lead.
The MX2 class got off to a flying start at Culham, after the second moto Conrad Mewse came out on top with 47 points but only just as Wilson Todd left him with not much breathing room with only two points behind. John Adamson and Taylor Hammel contested with third and fourth place at the season opener and riders to be waiting out for this weekend. The French rider Florian Miot became the talk of the town after winning the Expert cup. We are expecting him to rise through the ranks as the season progresses.
Evgeny Bobryshev wasn't hanging around at this first round as he took first place in both motos, with a full 50 points. He left Tommy Searle and Dylan Walsh to fight for second place overall, which ultimately Searle won. The likes of Elliot Banks-Browne and Shaun Simpson ended up within the top 10. Lyng will allow the riders to show their technical skills slightly different as Lyng doesn't leave much room for error with the sandy terrain.
