Due to the unavoidable lack of activity this year, there are a very large number of officials who currently hold a Track Racing Clerk of the Course licence which is due to expire at the end of 2020.
As such, the Track Racing Committee have agreed that the licences will initially be extended into 2021 pending the arrangement of seminars to enable renewal. As it remains unlikely that it will be possible (or sensible), to arrange a Rugby based seminar in the immediate future, we are currently looking at a number of options. Potentially we are investigating the practicality of offering a virtual seminar on Zoom, or possibly a computer-based module for candidates to complete in their own time at home.
Centres are requested to submit the names of those officials who they wish to put forward for an extension. Please send to Michelle - michelle@acu.org.uk
Individual officials should initially contact their Centres to be added to the list, please do not contact the office.
NB; An extension will only be granted to officials who have been endorsed by their Centre and are existing 2020 licence holders.
Methods of delivering training to new officials will be discussed and announced in the New Year.
