Belle Vue stage the re-arranged 2020 British Final behind closed doors at the National Speedway Stadium tonight (Monday, 7.30pm).
The event, which was originally due to be a government pilot with supporters in attendance at Ipswich until the Covid-19 restrictions changed last week, was put back by 48 hours and switched to Manchester due to bad weather at Foxhall.
Aces skipper Steve Worrall, who finished second three years ago, will be amongst the favourites, whilst former champions Chris Harris and Danny King will look to add to their successful records.
Belle Vue CEO Adrian Smith said: “I can’t imagine how frustrated Chris Louis and the team at Ipswich must feel. They went from having a crowd, to having it halved, to having no crowd at all.
“I’d just like to place on record our support for all the work they did to try and stage the British Final in what has been a very difficult year for us all
“Unfortunately, we are still not in a position to welcome back supporters but we are delighted to be able to live stream the British Final via SportCentral.
“They did an excellent job live streaming the Aces’ team meeting last Thursday, and we would encourage all Speedway fans to tune in on Monday night.”
Live stream passes are still available from sportcentral.tv priced at £12.95.
