The ACU British Sidecar and Quad Championships are ready to roll !!
In a season ravaged by the Covid-19 pandemic and with just one date of the existing ACU British Sidecar & Quad Championship calendar still remaining, discussions have taken place with the Nett Club who have stepped forward to run a spectacular double header two round Championship for both Sidecars and Quads over the weekend of 26th/27th September at the Duns circuit in the Scottish Borders.
Karl Robinson from Nett has recently been in contact with the track custodian at Duns and it is all systems go in that respect.
Steve McCauley, Chairman of the ACU Motocross Committee commented, “I can’t thank the Nett Club enough for stepping into the breach to put on this double header meeting. I’ve said before and it is now becoming a cliché, but we are living in unprecedented times and which needs unprecedented action. I know the Nett Club will be having discussions this week with the Local Authority, which is key as we need everyone on side to make the event happen and also the SACU will be approached with regard the issuing of the permit, both discussions are key to the event taking place. The Duns circuit is in a fairly secluded area, so following the ACU guidance/advice given in the Risk Assessment will ensure a Covid-19 secure environment for the weekend”.
