Plater & Dunlop: Live & Uncut
Following the success of last year’s Live & Uncut with John McGuinness and James Whitham, the popular evening returns for a second outing - this time with Michael Dunlop and Steve Plater at the helm. Michael will be stepping off his bikes to bring his own unique stamp to proceedings, while Steve will be picking up a different microphone for another night of insight, anecdotes and tall tales.

Already a TT and road racing legend, Michael is synonymous with the Isle of Man, having dominated the TT for a decade. The Northern Irishman has amassed 19 TT victories in all, making him the third most successful TT rider of all time. His contribution to the sport and the Dunlop dynasty is without question, and any serious road racing fan will want to hear from the man who continues to rewrite the record books wherever he races.

Steve, meanwhile, is undoubtedly one of the most complete racers of his generation. A former British Supersport Champion, a World Endurance winner, a double TT winner, a multiple North West 200 winner, and a multiple Macau Grand Prix winner, he remains one of the most accomplished and respected riders to emerge from these islands.

Today, Steve is heavily involved in television, media and management and can be seen fronting the TT coverage on ITV4, sharing his knowledge and insight with a million viewers a night. This year’s Live & Uncut won’t be the first time Steve has hosted such a night either, having previously teamed up with Michael to provide the entertainment during the inaugural 14Ball in memory of Dan Kneen. Proving a hugely popular (and often hilarious) pairing, fans can now look forward to more from these new friends and erstwhile rivals at the Classic TT.

This year’s Live & Uncut will be held in the TT Mercury Club on Friday 28 August. The evening not only features the duo exploring everything from superbikes to classic bikes, but fans will also get the chance to put their own questions to the dynamic duo. There will also be plenty of photo opportunities throughout the night - and even the chance to meet Steve and Michael over a drink or two.
