Day 5 and the final day of proper Enduro before the motocross on the final day so was an important day for Danny, Jed and Alex to get themselves a good position in the final classification. The Women’s team day was crucial to try and secure a podium at the end of the event. Another new lap was laid out and a couple of new special tests to put the riders through their paces.
The sole Trophy rider Danny McCanney was riding a blinder sitting in 3rd position for the majority of the day before a small fall on a test made him lose some time and cost him a couple positions. Danny came home 5th on the day.
The Junior team also now riding for themselves after losing teammate Dan Mundell to injury. Jed Etchells had another good day riding consistently and fast to finish a personal best 30th overall. Alex Walton also had a good last day finishing 45th.
Jane, Nieve and Rosie needed a good final Enduro day to try and secure that prestigious overall team podium at their first attempt, all three of them rode consistent and smart easing the pressure going into the final MX day.
