The Weston Beach Race, which takes place on October 18-20, is a diverse event with its bonkers racing and off-track entertainment. This year the race organisers, RHL Activities, are pleased that the Army careers team will be back at the beach to offer information on opportunities in the British Army along with fun-filled entertainment for all of the family with their interactive display.
The Army has a diverse range of careers and their friendly team will be happy to discuss the work they do during the event weekend where the Army mobile careers centre will be up and running on the Weston-Super-Mare promenade. In addition, the display will include a climbing wall, a BATAK (Simon Says) reaction challenge for hand/eye coordination, a huge deck chair for fun and pictures, an infantry promotional trailer and much more – there will be something on offer for all of the family to try.
The Army display will be a lot of fun whilst offering an opportunity to learn and engage with the British Armed Forces during the race weekend. RHL Activities look forward to working with the Army team and seeing spectators join in with their interactive challenges at the event.
Gareth Hockey – Director of RHL Activities
“We are pleased to be welcoming the Army down to the Weston Beach Race for a second year running. It’s great to be supporting our armed forces and giving the people visiting the event the opportunity to learn more about the careers available, whilst also having a go on a number of interactive activities on their stand. We look forward to working with the team at this year’s event.”
