This Sunday the Halstead and DMCC will be hosting the fifth round of the Pro Clean British sidecarcross championship at their Little Loveney Hall circuit near Wakes Colne in Essex. This year will be the thirty first running of the sidecar championship at this venue for which the hard-working members of the club must be congratulated.
As has been the trend this year the number of teams entered at the time of writing is a bit low but all the top crews in the country will be there.
So far this year the team to beat has been ex champions Stuart Brown / Josh Chamberlain who remain unbeaten in the nine races that have taken place previously. Apart from last year when Stuart was injured, they have been unbeaten at this track since 2012 so they will be determined to continue this trend
Hoping to knock them off top spot will be Jake Brown / Joe Millard, defending champions Brett Wilkinson / Ryan Humphrey and Irishman Gary Moulds with his Australian passenger Brian Anthony.
Making a welcome return to the championship will be Jack Etheridge / Paul Horton after an early season injury.
In the Experts championship class, the current leaders have not entered so far which will mean second placed James Georges / Ryan Henderson and third placed Emma Moulds / Niki Adair will be hoping to close the gap.
In addition to the three sidecar championship races there will be races for allcomer solos.
Practice starts at 10.00 am with the first race due off immediately after practice has finished. Admission for adults is £10 with children under 12 free.
The course is accessed by following the signage from either the A1124 at Chapple Viaduct or the B1508 Colchester to Bures Road, and then via Inworth lane, Wakes Colne, Post code CO6 2BH.
Please follow road signs for the track and drive with courtesy through the village. Disregard satnav directions
