Straightliners Round 5 at Llanbedr
This was the first visit to the airfield at Llanbedr on the welsh coast.  With the Snowdonia Mountains in the distance and the coast line close by this was a very picturesque setting for the Straightliners.

Both the organisers and the racers were very happy with the smooth track surface of the airfield. Some races stayed close to the track and had a few days holiday. If you want a holiday and race weekend for next year then this is the venue for you.

John Jefferson won the Pro Extreme class. Phil Wood missed the final due to mechanical problem.

9.10 class number one qualifier was Ian Wicks 9.56. Mike Austin and Maxine Taylor both qualified on 9.62.

Wicks beat John Hawkins in the semi-final and Austin knocked out Taylor in the other semi.  Austin took the win light in the final over Wicks 10.53 to 10.73.  Austin beat Wicks in the final of the unlimited cc class 10.06 to 10.26.

10.10 class saw Richard Ward red light in the final against Mick Avery.  Ward did win the 751 to 1000cc class, when he beat Steve Walton in the final.

Rob Briers beat Bob Cornforth to win the 12.10 class and Dazz Rose won the Wheelie Class

There were class wins for Ashley Hodgson, Mike Pacey and Joe Mallabone.
