Full results of Cheshire GTC’s highly successful Grasstrack at Gawsworth from two weekends ago can be found here. The club began their weekend with a ride out, which was well attended.
Some real big hitters clashed in the 500cc solos, with former multi-time British Champion Paul Cooper winning all four races, ahead of his fellow Yorkshireman Andrew Whitaker. Another former British champion, Tony Atkin finished 3
rd with fellow Cheshire centre rider Daniel Winterton coming home in 4
th. A very tough top 4 in any meeting!
Elsewhere, David Knowles continued his fine start to 2019 with a dominant performance, as did 500cc sidecars youngster Shaun Hughes and Louis Bennett.
Cheshire GTC partnered with Helsby and District JGTC to bring youth racing to the event. The small line-up of youth had an excellent day at the races.
